DJ Capsoul expands on A.A. Milne and Drugs...

Upon entering a discussion regarding the analysis of fictional stories (especially anime/manga), I was introduced to a funny, yet seriously disturbing revelation:

Milne's classic children's story 'Winnie-the-Pooh' parallels  the effects of the drug culture.

Dj Capsoul
was chillen' with his pooch at the Riverside Dog Park smoking a Winston drag alongside with his lady. I took the initiative to sit by him and bum a ciggie, and from there engaged in an illuminating conversation in the lines of:

Citrus- "I guess i
n all things you could overanalyze the various characters of fictional stories and find a metaphorical representation paralleling their existence. Like in Naruto, Gaara follows Nietche's nihlism. And Naruto is a d
eterminist like Dewey. You could also find existentialism everywhere...it goes on a whole different level thats not portrayed in the 'juvenile' kind of appearance the corporations monopolize on."

Capsoul: "For sure, its always good to think like that. I mean I found the same results when I was watching Winnie-the-Pooh. If you look at the characters portrayed in the story, you can see a deep resemblance of drugs within each one of them.

Take for instance, EEYORE. He represents someone who's always depressed and doped up. So immediately, you can say 'Heroine' addict.

"im sooo hectoooo"

Citrus: "That's sooo true."

Capsoul: And then when you check out Pooh, you already know what he represents. He's always looking for food, and getting his head stuck in honey pots. No matter what, he's always hungry
...
"ahh
...the munchies!"

and sleepy. Right there, you know he represents --Weed.

Citrus: "Fa sho, he IS always trying to munch out...lol"

Capsoul: "Then there's lil Piglet. He's a skitzy...always soo paranoid. Always on that edge....lol.
should I do a numbie?

Citrus: Yah, he is always laced up...How about rabbit?

Capsoul:  That's too easy...rabbit is definitely a shroo
ms kinda guy.

 "Hmm...i hope these shrooms grow :) "

Citrus: "Haha. Damn, I didn't even see that coming!"

Capsoul: "Its everywhere too...they are just so obvious. Guess what MOLE is?

Citrus: "umm... i dunno."

Capsoul: He pops up out of nowhere...always hiding in some hole. Mole has got to be on crack. He's definitely a crackhead.
"wheres the rock at?"

Capsoul: The most interesting one is Kangaroo... you know- a single mother having to take care of an only child. And always wondering where the father went. He just got up and left. She portrays the struggle of the average prescription user. The abuse of the 'legal' drugs...

"I'm all barred out..., wheres my fuckin kid?"

Capsoul: Then there's Christopher Robin. He's all straight. He's the clean one who has to deal with all this shit. He's the 'you and me' of the story. But over all, its pretty interesting when you begin to see similarities that are too apparent to be coincidences...

The list can go on. People have done with the Simpsons, Family guy, futurama...and all sorts of other characterizations. I just think its funny how the best aspects of stories can be found in everyday 'tedious' academia and not so 'innocent' social taboos.

There is one thing he did forget. And its probably the most obvious of them all, can you guess...?

"Yipeee!!!! Meth for me!!! I'm so SPEEDy!"
