Along with a garland spray of oak pollen, Austin will be germinating new seats in City Hall with early voting for City Council members this week. Personally, as a former City reporter for the Daily Texan, I'd have to say that your vote does matter in a slight, unduly optimistic kind-of-way. Regardless of your political disposition, it's always healthy to understand that politicians are people too. Jennifer Kim, my personal favorite because of race and education, has released her cute and overwhelmingly cheesy advertisement. Her incumbency relies on the faith of several 'noobs' who don't understand her tainted track record over social policies, especially the whole "pan handling" fiasco which she introduced.

Whether or not she is a 'viable' option for the seat, I am going to have to give my full support towards her goals in becoming a fulfilled Asian American woman. The reason: She's asian. And there is no doubt that we need more representation, any in that case, despite contentious arguments claiming her to be a 'corporate-loving' fiend. Personally, I've had a chat or two with the gal, and she's a-okay in my books. (but then again, it's her job to smile and gain popularity).

To a fine Asian American Lady climbing up the ladder of upward mobility...Good Luck.

So... to all you suckas:

I've got the aural/visual ecstasy to get my hands on the newest grandtheft sequence. Right off the back, the character is introduced as a italian prick experiencing a sense of cultural clash. Because he sick of the 'land of opportunity', he decides to fulfill his life with crime, bitches, and cars. Lots of them...

The game got in early. So what?

The soundtrack? 17 out of five...it immediately starts of mad hype with an official trip hop anthem. You drive a taxi right off the back, and the GRAPHICS are supreme and prestine....the map is the same as the latter game, but it's all good. It will bring a certain violent nostalgia I look forward to bringing ruckus in. Game time; by the way, my life will be over for awhile. :)

The game is extremely realistic, moreso than its previous encounters. This is the gta i've always wanted, and right off the back you can explore the entire map. Did i mention the graphics? lol...too good.

Capsoul: "For sure, its always good to think like that. I mean I found the same results when I was watching Winnie-the-Pooh. If you look at the characters portrayed in the story, you can see a deep resemblance of drugs within each one of them.

Take for instance, EEYORE. He represents someone who's always depressed and doped up. So immediately, you can say 'Heroine' addict.

Capsoul: Then there's Christopher Robin. He's all straight. He's the clean one who has to deal with all this shit. He's the 'you and me' of the story. But over all, its pretty interesting when you begin to see similarities that are too apparent to be coincidences...

The list can go on. People have done with the Simpsons, Family guy, futurama...and all sorts of other characterizations. I just think its funny how the best aspects of stories can be found in everyday 'tedious' academia and not so 'innocent' social taboos.

There is one thing he did forget. And its probably the most obvious of them all, can you guess...?

Regardless of where the fall fashion pathway is unwinding, from Thom Browne's urban goth look to Dior Homme's copycat style (hes on Browne's nuts), I am relieved to see a fresh of breath air in terms of vibrancy. Fall is a time of change, and yes...although leaves do fall and trees turn ugly, I don't think our clothes should necessarily follow the same route. Hence, In reminiscence of spring, with a touch of autumn nostalgia...Dsquared illuminates:

In this outfit...you get a royal blue nylon hoodie overlay with a not so slim blazer (its a rugged look with a hint of finesse)...coupled with amazing gloves and strap on 'ski' boots, topped of with the creme de la creme sleek all white slacks (dont forget to tuck em' in!)...and simple chrome belt buckle.

So at the latest SXSW 2008...i recieved the pleasure of meeting the MAGNIFICENT MOBY. Well, err...he was somewhat magnificent, but more so the best way to describe him would be : JUST MOBY.

Moby is an iconic figure in the dance scene. Who can deny that shining bald beauty we can spot from a mile away, coupled with the ubiquitous black horn rim glasses that take him to another level of nerdism. Ah...Moby.

But I don't mean to put him on blast. I've seen him rip the turntables (although I was more into Jack Daniels at that time), i've seen him play the guitar at the Fader party to honor Lil Reed...and most of all, I've seen him chill. Just chill.

For the most part, Moby seems like a pretentious prick. A douchebag. But that's because he looks too good, too smart, too elite to be in the 'industry'

The fact is. Moby got his name from Moby Dick

and he will always be associated as a Dick.

But overall, when i talked to him...he was a bit pretentious, slightly unwarranted in mannerisms, and a tad too standoffish; but I enjoyed his company. Heres to a 'whale' of a DJ...

Not only does Eric Koston prevail as one of the most confident and well-poised skater in the scene, he definitely adds another cherry-on-top element to the video. More importantly, the green screen performance directed by the trio of Spike Jones is definitely a innovative move on the genre of skating productions. Well done, to a bad ass video.

The essence of discrimination, whether based on behavior, aesthetics, or ingrained preconceptions of bias, is compelled by the so-called ‘social filtering’ of others. People dictate their judgments of others by the deconstruction an individual’s social persona introduced during a social dynamic. This reciprocal of human impressions defines the selection of who we consider our friends.

For all the misguided youths:
The lost souls of this moment.
The despair of a thousand sighs, the distinguished helplessness from a meaningless thought
What is not, is not important.
What is, is merely a suggestion.
When can our lives surpass a transcendent reality.
Harboring feelings of envy and lust.
Disparaged by forgotten ambitions.
Constantly striving to be worthy of applause.
